Rolf's Guide to Yatton Wildlife No. 1 - Music Teachers

Music Teachers (agitatus bombastus podium) are one of the most entertaining forms of wildlife. If you're lucky enough to have a specimen near you, observe it from behind a carefully placed music stand to enjoy its many varied antics.

If they think they aren't being watched they will provide you with a wonderful display of ritual aggressive motions, and may even utter one of their mysterious call notes, watchme-watchme or effsharp-effsharp. They sometimes even attemp to use a stick as a tool, but they never seem quite sure what it is for!

Music Teachers soon become tame if you offer them the best quality food in their natural surroundings - but you must be careful...

this little chap became so cheeky he made off with the cameraman's scotch egg...

and soon began to suffer ill effects, needing immediate vetinary treatment...at one point we thought he wasn't going to make it.

Poor little fellah!
